Minimum Habitability Requirements
- Weatherproof roof, walls, doors, and windows
- Plumbing in good working order; hot and cold running water
- Heat capable of maintaining 70Β°F in living areas (Β§ 1941.1)
- Electrical wiring in good condition, connected to a power source
- No infestation of rodents, insects, or vermin
- Adequate garbage receptacles with regular removal
- Working carbon monoxide detectors (CC Β§ 17926.1)
- Working smoke detectors on each floor and in each bedroom
- Safe floors, stairways, and railings
- Natural lighting in every habitable room
